Under the Weather

This week on the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog, the challenge is an embellishments challenge.  

Ugh. My style is definitely more on the cleaner side so the MOST I could get myself to do for embellishments was to use some vintage seam binding, a button and some twine, but THAT is where I draw the line.  I gotta be me!  

 I am playing along with the MFT Pure Innocence Under the Weather stamp set.  

I stamped my image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press it blending card,  I colored my image with copics and did a bunch of paper piecing,  The PP is from the Echo Park "Bundle of Joy Girl" 6x6 paper pad.    which I paired with MFT pink lemonade, hot fudge, and sweet tooth CS.  The card base is Bazzill Card Shoppe peanut cluster CS.  I added some siam pink vintage seam binding, a white button, and some MFT hemp cord.   I stamped the sentiment in MFT hot fudge ink.

This month we have two new sets from Megan Suarez: Amalia Ballerina and Poppy. I just LOVE Megan’s style, and we hope you do too! Amalia is the sweetest dancer, and Poppy is the newest of our Spice Girls.

I colored my image with copics and used a glue pen and some microfine glitter to glitz up her tutu and the flowers in her hair.  I paired some Bazzill Card Shoppe gummy bear CS with some gingham paper from the Carta Bella "Cool Summer" 6x6 paper pad.  I used the MFT dainty lace border Die-Namics under the sentiment panel,  I added a button and hemp cord to embellish.

Welcome to Day 1 of the There She Goes sneak peeks!

Melyssa is back from a short break with a new set for us, and we were so excited about it, we had to show it off day one of our peeks!! She is getting us ready for summer with her signature style, and I’m just not sure if it can get ANY cuter than this!! With three adorable character images, and lots of accessories and sentiments, she will have you using this set for everything from party decorations to greeting cards!

Aquaholic is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 26 stamps and will sell for $24.00. This set will be available for purchase at 11pmEST on Saturday, May 25th.

I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut out the fish bowl.  Yep. I actually used that machine I HAD to have that has been collecting dust on my shelf.  I tore some Bazzill Card Shoppe CS to create the sand and I clorored the fishbowl with copics.  I used the colorless blender to create the highlights on the bowl.   I stamped my images in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It blending card and colored them with copics.

When I saw the newest Tiddly Inks, I immediately asked Tabitha at the 7 Kids College Fund if she was going to be carrying them in the store.  She ordered them up right away!  I HAD TO HAVE the new Hopping By stamp set to make a birthday card for my daughter who tuns 11 tomorrow.  Lauren loves to play on the pogo stick so this image is PERFECT!

I stamped the image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press it blending card and colored her with copics.  I paired some MFT lemon drop, black licorice and razzle berry CS with some PP from the Carta Bella Cool Summer 6x6 paper pad.  I used the MFT circle STAX Die-namics to die cut the circles.  I stamped the sentiment on MFT black licorice ink.  I used the Deconstructed Sketch #96 for my inspiration.

MFTWSC124 - Go Confidently

Graduation time is upon us so I decided to use this week's MFTWSC challenge #124 as my inspiration to get a graduation card done for our babysitter.   

I thought that the sentiment from the new  Life's Directions stamp set 

was perfect for a graduation card.

I love the coverage of the MFT inks!  If you have not tried them yet, you must!  I use Momento tuxedo black for images that I will color with copics, but for sentiments,  I only use MFT inks now.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Release Hop

First up is Sunnie!  

I stamped the image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto a PTI white CS base and colored her with copics.  I paper pieced her sarong with some PP from the Echo Park For the Record 2 Documented 6x6 paper pad and used a stip of the same paper for the top of the card.  I used a die from the MFT dotted scallop border trio Die-Namics to create the border and added some ivory jute.

Next up is Lucas from the Totally Tubular stamp set! 

I stamped my image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It blending card.  I colored the image with copics and paper pieced Lucas' bathing suit.  Using a die cut from the Taylored Expressions could die duo as a template, I sponged some MFT berrylicious ink around the image.   I ran the MFT red hot CS panels through the Big Shot using the Chevrons 6x6 Embossalicious embossing folder by Crafter's Companion.  The PP  is from the Fancy Pants "Down by the Shore" 6x6 paper pad. I matted with MFT black CS and used an MFT sweet tooth CS card base.  I stamped the sentiment in MFT black licorice ink.
